U.S. Airmail Stamp Commemorates the French Revolution
This is a very unusual and attractive stamp. Issued in 1989, it commemorates the
200th anniversary of the French Revolution.
The over size stamp carries with it, a representation of the French Flag,
along with allegorical figures representing the ideals of the French Revolution,
Liberty, Equality, Fraternity. The stamp is unusual in that these very
French national symbols appear on a stamp from the U.S.A.
