The Vostok 5 Issue

On June 14, 1963, V. F. Bykovsky began a long space flight remaining in orbit for 5 days. In its time, this was a long duration space flight. Bykovsky's record would not be broken for 2 years.

This beautiful engraved issue provides an excellent view of a partially clooud covered Earth with a representation of Vostok 5. A helmeted facial portait of cosmonaut Bykovsky completes the design.
