Russia: Rocket to Mars

This large stamp was issued in the Soviet Union to commemorate the launch of a probe to Mars. The launch date was Nov. 1, 1962. The space probe seperates from the booster in the center of the stamp. To the right, the destination, Mars, the Red Planet.
