It is cloudy today, but the Sunnyvale Y2K banners are festive! We are near Sunnyvale's town center.

Ride the Sky Bus
This bus, a VTA Airport Flyer, is off its usual course bringing people to and from San Jose International
Airport. The blue design shows day and night.

Popular in the Noon Hour
This humble commercial center is the core of Silicon Valley. Yes really. The first
Computer Literacy (AKA fatbrain.com) is here, as well as a sandwich shop, and a Fedex
office. What more could you want. I did bring visiting parents to Computer Literacy,
and my father was especially impressed. His remark was the books were not as impressive
as all the people browsing them, the people clearly understand all that stuff.

New Day Blooming
It is just after dawn. We are along side San Tomas Creek.
A neighborhood volunteer group planted some of the plants in the foreground.
Wish I could get closer, many are in bloom. Nice to see along busy San Tomas Expressway.

San Tomas Creek by 101
And while we are on the subject of San Tomas Creek, we see here near Intel and
Highway 101 that the flow is small, as we are near the end of the rain season.

The shopping center is nearly empty as all the establishments and palm trees await
the shoppers.

Commercial & Residential Buildings and a Bonus
As land in Silicon Valley grows more precious, we see more combination commercial
and residential property such as this. Look at this picturecarefully, and the
next as well.
If you look carefully between the buildings and over a palm tree, a blimp
passes us in the distance. Tried to get a better picture, but the blimp
turned and flew in the opposite direction.
