Castle Rock State Park is located on Skyline Blvd., Californial Route 35.
We are looking down from a platform at the face of a rock cliff which is popular with rock climbers at Castle Rock State Park.
As we hike farther into the park, we look back at the cliff we were on top of
in the prior picture.
Through the trees if we look south we can see the Monterey Bay in the distance.
Three hawks (one near the right edge) glide on the updrafts above us.
We look out to the hills to the south from another vantage point.
This is a very old oak tree.
A shelter has been built at the intersection of trails.
