Welcome! It is a big day at San Jose International(SJC) airport today. There are two new international flights today departing to new destinations: Taipei, and Paris.
The far end of the A concourse is decorated for the inaugural Taipei departure.
With the soound of drums approaching the gate area one silver and one gold lion dances their way to the departure lounge. Wish there were a better picture, the Gee Yung lion dancers put on a dramatic performance!

Flight 151 is christened under the bright sun of a Sunday afternoon in San Jose.

Bruno Guerquin, Deputy Counsel General from the French Consulate remarks about a feeling of friendship. He tells us this is his first visit to SJC.
It is a bright evening, but with a low sun angle at this time, we see the 767 depart under the water cannons as it leaves the departure gate for Paris.
If you look in the center of the picture flight 112 has just left the runway in San Jose. We wish all aboard Bon Voyage!
